WHO WE ARE
E-platon is a digital platform for managing microbiological, chemical and multispectral data derived from meat, meat products and cold cuts traceability analysis. It is co-funded by Greece and the European Union to ensure the safety and quality of food according to food law and regulation.
Through E-platon, manufacturers, processors and retailers will be able to statistically manage and process a large set of data to assess the correlation of their products with the potential risk of food. Data management will allow a specific and complete safety assessment and documentation of the produced products, as well as compliance with applicable European legislation and Quality Assurance Systems on food hazard, optimization of food quality and safety of the food consumer.
Through traceability testing, food industry participants are given the opportunity to ensure and monitor the correlation of their products with the potential food hazard associated with the production, processing and distribution phases. Through this process, E-platon supports the participants and their products in order to comply with the regulations of the European food legislation and to follow quality assurance systems.
